COMPLEXURF (Laboratory of Complex Surfaces and Interfaces) received its newest piece of equipment. This new equipment is a DCAT 25 tensiometer from DataPhysics Instruments GmbH, capable of characterizing wetting properties of powders, fibers, and flat substrates using liquids from -15°C to 300 °C. This is the second tool in our lab from Dataphysics after our OCA 50 optical contact angle measuring system. We were happy to have Daniel Scholz from DataPhysics Instruments GmbH and Maarten Debrouwere from Benelux Scientific B.V. for the training session on the new device.
