At COMPLEXURF, we employ Inverse Gas Chromatography (IGC) (from Adscientis) for investigating surface thermodynamic properties such as surface free energy components, specific surface area, and adsorption isotherms. The introduction of the IGC to our lab, supported by Research Foundation Flanders – FWO medium-scale infrastructure funding, has led to extensive studies on different materials such as bio-based fibers and particles. We were pleased to host Dr. Eric Brendlé and Ir. Nicolas Leborgne, IGC experts from Adscientis, to present results obtained by COMPLEXURF researchers and have fruitful discussions and information exchange.
